The anatase is one of preferred minerals of the collectors. Its crystals, formed very often well and with the very clear faces, its extremely varied colors, its many associations make a particularly required species of it. What one knows less, on the other hand, it is that it does not crystallize solely in the form of traditional the dipyramides acute and that it is capable of an immense variety of aspects. It is what wanted to illustrate Pierre Valverde in this special number.

On the basis of a considerable library search, Pierre indexed the forms described by the large mineralogists. He then sought to find them by the observation of samples what enabled him to highlight new forms. It is what also occurs when rare species are sought: one starts by finding those which others already found, until the day when... This type of approach appears worthy to us to be announced.
